A typical route

Day 1

Fly to Arusha → Tarangire

Drive 2hrs to camp. Evening game drive among the baobabs.

Day 2

Tarangire elephants

Full-day drive along the Tarangire River. Hundreds of elephants in the dry months.

Day 3

Transfer to crater rim

Drive via Lake Manyara (optional stop for tree-climbing lions). Lodge perched on the crater edge.

Day 4

Crater floor

Pre-dawn descent. Black rhino, lion prides, flamingo flats. Picnic at Ngoitokitok Springs.

Day 5

Olduvai & back

Visit Olduvai Gorge (Leakey’s "cradle of mankind"). Fly back to Zanzibar.
